PEI Federation of Union Retirees had its official founding meeting on April 28, 2010. The following were elected as officers:
President: Everett Baker
First Vice-President: Doreen Wall
Treasurer: Fred Quinn
Secretary: Kathleen Arsenault
The Federation has been active on the campaign to improve pensions. Its members turned out in full force for the federal forum on pensions in Charlottetown. Everett Baker was in the delegation that met with the PEI Minister of Finance, Wes Sheridan, on June 9, 2010 on the eve of the meeting of federal and provincial ministers of finance.
